PRAY IT BETTER
Our world seems so upside down right now. It seems that every few minutes I’m getting a prayer request. Covid, sickness, heart attacks, families in distress, you name it… I’ve been asked to pray for it in the past few weeks.
It is all so overwhelming at times.
I want to make sure that I am praying for everyone that has asked for prayers and then some. And I want to make sure I am praying the right things. I find myself asking God to help me find the right words to share, to encourage, to shine a little light on their bleak time. We’ve all been there. When our world seems so upside down, personally.
Right now, it seems that way for most of us.
Let’s just take a minute and…
PRAY IT BETTER.
All of it. All the things. All the sickness. All the family stresses. All the financial burdens. All the heartaches.
Heavenly Father,We need You. We need You every hour, every minute, every second of every single day. Lord, our hope is in You. Our hope is in Your promises. Father, we thank You that we can come to You with all of our burdens. We thank You, Father, for all of our blessings that You bestow upon us daily. In a fast-paced world, we seem to forget to thank You for those tiny provisions. We thank You that You forgive us when we do forget to thank You. We need You more than ever, Lord. Your word in Matthew 18:20 says: “For where two or three are gathered together as my followers, I am there among them.” (NLT) Lord, we trust and believe in that verse. Thank you for hearing our pleas, our prayers. Thank you for comforting us when times are so hard. God we just hand it all over to you. We hand over the fear, the anxiety, the hurt, the betrayals. We hand over the relationships that need mended, the marriages that are broken, the sickness in our world right now, Lord, with COVID, the diseases, the infections, the mental and physical abuse, the hurts of the world, Lord. We relinquish it to You, Father. Your Word tells us Lord, in Psalm 55:22 “Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you.” (NLT) Lord, we are handing it all over. Lord, ALL. THE. THINGS. We trust you and we love you.
In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
My hope is that you all pray it with me. My hope is that we see a need and we fill that need the best that we can. My hope is that you know that praying over someone is the best gift you can ever give them. My hope is that we will all turn to Jesus not only in time of need but in time of plenty. Not only turning to Jesus when we are down and out and crawling in the valley, but when HE has us up on that mountain top. Shout praises to the King! My hope (and your hope) is ALWAYS in the LORD.
God Bless you on your journey, today, tomorrow and always.
