The Connection Scholarship

One scholarship will be awarded to a female member of the current graduating class from Waynesboro Area Senior High School, Greencastle Antrim Senior High  School and Smithsburg High School. 

 

Meet the scholarship winners of 2024!

Layla Woodring
Waynesboro Area Winner

Layla is a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School and will be attending the University of Pittsburgh to major in Pre-medicine. She was a cheerleader all 4 years of high school and in the National Honor Society. She loves to serve at Otterbein Church every Sunday as an elementary small group leader. She is honored and blessed to be receiving this scholarship and hopes to spread God’s Word in everything she does.

Miana Kauffman
Greencastle Area Winner

Miana Kauffman is a senior at Greencastle-Antrim High School. In the fall she will be attending Penn State Mont Alto for Occupational Therapy. While attending High school she was a part of the Tri M Music Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, the Crew, Big Buddies, and Band. Outside of school she participated in Joyel’s 4.12 Leadership Training Program.

Shelby Zimmerman
Greencastle Area Winner

Shelby Zimmerman is a senior at Greencastle-Antrim High School. After graduation, she is planning to attend Shippensburg University through the Wood Honors College program for a bachelor's in Art Education Certification (K-12). Outside school work, Shelby participates in a variety of extracurriculars ranging from Art Club, Robotics Club, National Honor Society, and volunteering at Good News Camp over the summer. Overall, Shelby wants to inspire young artists as a future teacher and make a difference in the lives of others.
